this thanksgiving
was bittersweeet,
as it was the last
we would spend at the cottage.

revelations.

this past weekend
was my grandmother's birthday
("don't get old" she told me)
and Canadian thanksgiving.

it was awesome,
and it made me realize
that so much of my happiness is dependent
on where i find myself,
and who i find myself with.

from time to time
we all need a little help
in our lives.
