last night i had

my 29 and a 1/2th

birthday party.

it's the first birthday party

i've had in years,

and it was so much fun,

and made me so happy.

i think i'm going to celebrate this way

every year!

just got back...

so i'm back home

after visiting ottawa

for a minor eyelid

surgery

(totally awful!)

that has left me looking

pretty beaten up...

but hopefully with

better sight.

 

i've got my first

training session

at my new p/t job

tomorrow -

wish me luck!

atlanta was such a beautiful,

fun city.

it was unlike

anything i expected it to be - 

i'd been told to worry about

the heat,

the humidity,

the segregation...

but it turned out to be

one of the nicest,

prettiest, lushest

places

i've ever been.

i can't wait to go back...

here in canada...

with the people in power

why is it

in atlanta

was a cemetery,

full of crumbling tombstones,

beautiful mausoleums,

and flowers everywhere.

(though it got bleached out

the bride.

the wedding was wonderful,

filled with laughter

and family

and fun.

my new cousin-in-law

is such a beautiful woman,

and i'm so happy that she's

part of our family now.

from her grandmother's own wedding day,

 

given for the express purpose

of ensuring her grandmother

would be with the her (in spirit)

on her wedding day.
