Jewellery ideas? AWESOME! I used to make jewellery when I lived in T.O - maybe one day I'll take it up again. Lucky you for the sunshine AND going away! Hope you have a great time.
i took one year of jewellery design at george brown, and decided it wasn't for me (it was more like metal jewellery fabrication)...but i've always made my own stuff on the side. you should totally start making stuff again! or at least photographing what you've done? :)
the weekend was incredible - more fun than i ever expected, more support for my decisions than i ever expected, and more sunshine than anyone expected.
Oooh, I do love polaroids of old doors. Beach house + jewelry ideas = what I've been doing too!!! :) I would love to see your stuff! I've been making jewelry for a few years, but I had only been selling them at Antarctic craft fairs... I'm planning on changing that this summer. Thanks for your always thoughtful comments, you're the best!
aw, you're quite welcome! :) and that's hilarious that you've been beach house-ing it up whilst jewellery making, haha. great minds think alike? i can't wait to see what you've got in store for the jewellery world! are you going to sell on etsy?
I did etsy a few years ago, and I think that if I sell some stuff online this year, it will be through big cartel. Mostly though, my sights are set on the local farmers market. I've done craft fairs the past couple years and they were so much more fun, fulfilling, and instantly gratifying than doing it online. Hmm... lots to think about! Are you thinking of opening an etsy sometime soon?
i am, actually! i figured etsy would be the most accessible, and help to build up some fans before switching to big cartel (who are much easier to use apparently? and prettier. and cheaper. hmm.)...but who knows if that's the easiest way. i guess i'll just have to see?
i'm hoping to head to some craft shows too, though i'm sad i just missed all of the shows before mother's day. i hadn't thought of farmer's markets - mostly i'm hoping to win over a couple of the local shops around here. :)
