  1. Hi! Just wanted to respond to your comment on Kate's blog. I just read a book by Brene Brown called The Gifts of Imperfection, and that's where I got the vulnerability thing. I highly recommend the book. It's life-changing.

    1. thanks jo!! i'll admit, your blog design inspired the colour choices, haha. i really did want it to be less depressing of a space, so i thought i'd lighten it up. (however, i've gotten some feedback from the men in my life, and they are NOT happy with the change. they want me to switch it back!)

  3. Argh, men. HA, jokes! Not that I know what I'm talking about, but one thing I've learned over the past year and a half since freelancing is that you have to go with what makes YOU happy. I spent ages trying to design things I thought other people would like and realised I just wasn't feeling it and it made me really stressed. I then decided to put work out that I myself love and just had to hope other people still liked it, which it turns out they did/do...hopefully! I just had to let go of caring about what other people think, which, as a naturally shy person was incredibly hard for me but I'm learning to just do it! So, if you prefer the old way then switch it back but if you love this new way then keep it. It's always great to get feedback but I do think you should do with what makes your stomach flip (in a good way!). Does that make ANY friggin' sense at all?! Oh and I do love that you yourself said you want it to be a less depressing space - it's your space, do what you want! Check me out with all the advice, I feel like Yoda. (Feel free to ignore me if I'm talking rubbish!). x

    1. haha, nope, i totally get you - and i agree completely. i've actually decided to keep the space this way, if only because of how happy the colours make me. if it's to be a true representation of me, then this is it! :) (but thanks for your support and advice ms. yoda! haha.)
