the bride.

the wedding was wonderful,
filled with laughter
and family
and fun.

my new cousin-in-law
is such a beautiful woman,
and i'm so happy that she's
part of our family now.
the gloves are her late grandmother's,
from her grandmother's own wedding day,
given for the express purpose
of ensuring her grandmother
would be with the her (in spirit)
on her wedding day.
(and the boots were just
too pretty to ignore!)

  1. great pictures! and the dress is so pretty too!

    1. thankyou!! <3

her dress was amazing. SHE was amazing. and georgia was...well, amazing (for lack of a better word)!

i'm sad that these shots have the weird red splotch that sometimes happens after a few days of exposure to heat...the shots were perfect beforehand, so it's pretty frustrating.

also, i miss you!! :) xo

  2. woah! That top photo - stunning. It looks like something from a bygone era, so beautiful. What a dress! I love that she wore her grandmother's gloves. My wedding ring was my great grandmother's own wedding ring, so I get why she wore the gloves. Oh and don't worry about the red splotching - I hadn't even noticed til I read your comment above and I think it adds to the old feel of the photos. I want to see more of this wedding!

    1. thankyou!! and hooray for not noticing the yucky-red-stuff (as i like to call it)! :)

i wish we still had the rings from my grandmothers/great-grandmothers, but there are a lot of aquisitor types in my family (on both sides) so i'll be lucky if i even get some photos to bring along. lucky you to have her ring! (i'd love to see a shot of it, if you've got one...)

i was so sick on the day of the wedding, i didn't get many shots at all, but i'll definitely post what i've got! :)

  4. Yay! Glad the wedding was so lovely... and love the back story on the gloves!

    1. i'm so glad it was too! if it can be awesome while you're sick, then you know it's REALLY awesome, right? :)
